Skype Piano Master Class at UND Music

Two successful online piano master classes took place at UND Music’s Josephine Campbell Recital Hall on 1/28 with Italian Steinway Artist, Stefano Greco, and on 2/12 with Japanese Left-hand pianist, Takeo Tchinai. We conducted the piano classes connecting the recital hall and Mr. Greco’s studio in Milan, Italy and Mr.Tchinai’s studio in Osaka, Japan respectively.

But it was interesting to note that even though Mr. Greco was from a different culture, his idea of how to interpret the music was very much the same as my own teacher’s which made me realize that music is a universal language.”

２９日フェニックスホール　智内威雄さんもエール

　意思とは関係なく、筋肉が収縮・硬直する「ジストニア」のため、左手だけで演奏する広島市中区のピアニスト瀬川泰代さん（２３）が２９日、同市内のコンサートで広島交響楽団と“競演”する。同じ病気と闘う世界的ピアニスト智内威雄(たけお)さん（３５）（大阪府箕面市）に次ぎ、史上２人目という。念願の舞台に立つ瀬川さんは「支えてくれた人への感謝の気持ちを音に込め、困難に立ち向かう勇気も与えたい」と話している。（有賀かほり）

　ジストニアは、脳の神経回路の機能異常が原因と考えられ、ピアニストやゴルファーなど、同じ動作を反復する職業で起こりやすいという。

　瀬川さんは３歳でピアノを始め、高校３年で症状が表れた。エリザベト音大３年の時、広島市内で初めて智内さんの演奏を聴いた。「左手だけで重厚な音が響く」。智内さんにメールを送り、毎月１、２回大阪へレッスンに通った。昨年６月はドイツの国立音大を左手の演奏で受験したが、海外留学の夢はかなわなかった。

　不合格の知らせに１か月ほど落ち込んだ。しかし、友人からの「泰代の音楽に取り組む姿勢に励まされる」「ずっと応援してるよ」という言葉を受け、「音楽を続けることで周囲を元気付けたい」と前向きになれた。

　６年前に智内さんがプロ楽団と共演した今回の演奏会で再起を果たすことを目標にした。智内さんからは「ピアノとの対話を重視して」「手首の力を抜いて」などとアドバイスされ、楽譜に書き留めていった。五線譜の白紙部分は文字で黒く埋まった。

　昨年１１月にあったオーディションではプロ演奏家ら４人が審査。「努力した結果を聞いてもらうことが楽しみだった」。曲は智内さんが同じ舞台で披露したラベルの「左手のためのピアノ協奏曲ニ長調」。曲調の激しさに任せて、無我夢中に鍵盤をたたいた。

　合格通知を受けると、すぐに智内さんに電話で知らせた。「良かったね」と落ち着いた声が返ってきた。

　智内さんは「私がプロとしてやっていく自信をつけたコンサート。障害を抱えた音楽家だけでなく、多くの人に勇気と感動を与える演奏にしてほしい」と期待する。

　当日は同市中区の広島国際会議場フェニックスホールで、午後６時半開演。チケットは２５００円（全席自由席）。問い合わせは広響事務局（０８２・５３２・３０８０）。

神戸新聞：「３・１１」鎮魂の曲に反響　宝塚の作曲家が創作

東日本大震災や福島第１原発事故をテーマに、宝塚市在住の作曲家近藤浩平さん（４６）が、鎮魂のための現代音楽２曲を作った。譜面をホームページ（ＨＰ）で公開し、動画投稿サイトからも配信。反響が広がり、国内外で上演されるようになった。近藤さんは「世界中が（震災が起きた）３月１１日を記憶に刻みつける一助になれば」と話している。（増井哲夫）

　近藤さんは、関西学院大学文学部で音楽学を学び、独学で作曲を始めた。卒業後も会社勤務の傍ら、数々のコンクールで入選している。

　今回の作曲は、ノルウェーの木管楽器ファゴット奏者ロベルト・ロネスさんから、曲の依頼を震災前に受けていたことから思い立った。東北、中でも福島県の民謡を多く聴き、リズム感や節回しを生かそうと工夫。「海辺の祈り～震災と原子炉の犠牲者への追悼　作品１２１」を書き上げた。

　震災１カ月後、譜面を受け取ったロネスさんは絶賛。演奏映像をインターネット上に流すと、米国やポーランドでも演奏家が上演する動きにつながった。近藤さんはバイオリンやチェロ、ビオラ向けに編曲。国内でも演奏されるようになった。

　こうした中、筋肉の病気のため左手だけで演奏する大阪府箕面市在住のピアニスト智内威雄（ちない・たけお）さんと知り合い、「左手バージョン」の譜面を送った。智内さんは「対をなす曲」をリクエスト。左手で演奏する専用曲として「海辺の雪～震災と津波の犠牲者への追悼　作品１２２」が生まれた。

　２曲を上演する演奏家らに「著作権使用料相当額を被災地支援に」と呼び掛ける近藤さんは「震災と原発事故を決して忘れない」との思いで、創作活動を続けている。
